Eficia receives triple gold certification from the UN for the third year running
EFICIA, which specialises in energy management for buildings, has been awarded UN gold certification for the third consecutive year for its commitment to climate neutrality. Its example shows that supporting other companies in their energy transition requires, above all, leading by example.

Because supporting companies in their energy transition required us to be a model for others.
EFICIA, a young, innovative French company specialising in energy management for commercial buildings, has been awarded the UN's triple gold label for the third consecutive year as part of its Climate Neutrality Now programme. This distinction symbolises EFICIA's commitment to building a changing world in which every company must become an agent of change in the face of the climate challenge.
Launched in 2015, the Climate Neutral Now initiative aims to ‘encourage all citizens to take action to help achieve the goal of a climate-neutral world by mid-century, in line with the Paris Agreement’. Unlike the various CSR labels already available on the French market, the UN label is dedicated to carbon. It requires companies applying for it to take three actions: quantify their carbon emissions, reduce them by 5% per year and offset them. To help companies with the latter, the UN has set up a system to finance offset projects.
EFICIA supports its customers on a daily basis in improving the energy performance of their buildings. Quantifying the carbon impact and savings of the companies that place their trust in it is therefore an integral part of its approach.
‘Working to achieve energy savings for our customers must not generate more carbon impact on our part. The companies in our ecosystem must set an example, and this has always been an essential part of our approach. I therefore developed an internal tool to calculate the carbon impact of each of our purchases, even a simple pen,’ explains Alric Marc, founder and president of EFICIA. "Our first observation was that we enable our customers to reduce their emissions 30 times more than we emit, so it was obvious to us that we should do everything possible to reduce our own impact. We have therefore committed to various projects to offset all of our emissions. We have therefore helped to finance the creation of hydroelectric power stations in Chile and India, countries that still generate most of their electricity from coal."
Today, for the third year in a row, EFICIA has been awarded the highest rating in each of the three areas of the Climate Neutral Now initiative.
